UEFI support for the CRYPTO-BOX

26 March 2014

UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) replaces the classic BIOS firmware on newer PCs. It is the interface between the computer hardware and the operating system (Windows, Linux, etc.).

One of the advantages of UEFI is the ability to execute UEFI-based applications prior to the operating system start. This allows to query the CRYPTO-BOX and usage of its security features, such as accessing the encryption functions and the internal memory even before starting the system.
